Memorial Scholarship
Awards
Each year, four Memorial
Award Scholarships are presented to senior athletes at the
Indiana State High School Invitational Hockey Tournament. The awards are
made based on academic achievement, citizenship, community and school
contributions, leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship. Applications
for these awards are due on February 10, 2006 this season.
Each winner of one of the Memorial Awards is announced after the
recipient's last game. They receive a $500 scholarship to be
applied toward college expenses and an individual plaque to keep. A
permanent trophy for each award will be displayed at the appropriate
rink during and after the State Tournament. Team representatives
are given an application for the awards at the annual required team
meeting in September. It is the responsibility of the team
representative to distribute a copy of the form to seniors on their teams.

and Mrs. Kenneth Crace of Columbia City, Indiana; and numerous
friends who knew of Matt's exceptional talent and dedication to
the game.

including coaching the high school team for six years.

local and state levels for a number of years. He now lives in Texas.
